Can you tell in texting with someone you barely know if you will hit it off?

When you meet someone on a dating app, can you tell by text if you will hit it off? My intuition tells me that this person is boring and his text seem boring, or maybe I am over thinking into it.

I usually can, although I don't go on dating sites anymore. I've been pretty successful here though

Yes. Thank god it’s quick and easy to blow them off in a text instead of dragging out an hour conversation.

Some people aren’t as flowing with conversation through text. I prefer video chat, phone call or in person chat.
