I Am Nervous

My parents are asking non stop about why I'm depressed and I'm afraid because they are 100% christians that they won't accept me as being MtF Transgender. What should I do? I'm nearly in tears just thinking of what might happen. They say they will always love me and accept me as me but it's not really reassuring to me. I need help.

have you tried mentioning, say, someone at school who has declared as transgender, and seen what their reaction is? Some christians are very much into condemning, others can be surprising accepting, when it's their family; and some are just completely loving of course.

@firefall: news travels around fast in my little old town so I've seen their reaction when a trans guy came out and sued the school about the bathrooms and their reaction was "pissed off" but that's just because of taking something for soo little to court for no real reason. It is still going to be real hard for me to do. I need some tips. I talked to my counselor and she is going to try to get another MtF Transgender like me to help me through this.

@ILoveThreeDaysGrace: oh, smalltown does make it tougher, as I understand it. If you would like someone to talk to online, I'll ask my bestie - his gf is MtF, and only a few years older than you

@firefall:
I would definitely love to have some help from someone who has already gone through this who could give me some extra tips through this experience.

@ILoveThreeDaysGrace: Ok, I'll check with them & msg you a contact email if they're agreeable (my bestie is FtM so may have some insights too)
