I Am Nervous

Okay, so a friend of mine saw me writing this paper.

Well, the paper basically said how much I hate my life and whatnot. I'd really rather not get into it. But he saw most of what I wrote. Nothing was directed towards him in it, but what do I do now? Now he knows what I'm thinking. I never wanted him to know about something as personal as that. How do I approach this?

But...just because he SAW it doesn't mean he had to read it, at least not beyond the first few words. If he was essentially snooping, it is none of his business. He should not allow himself to violate someone's privacy. And you have no reason to feel on the defensive about it. If he alludes to it, just say, "That was personal and not meant to be read by others." And don't comment further.
