I Love to Read a Lot

Regardless of what your political inclinations are, I have read 2 books by Bill OReilly. One is Killing Kennedy. You won't be able to put the book down.

I am currently reading Killing Patton. It is absolutely one of the goriest books I have ever read. It puts WWII into a totally different light.

I highly recommend both books.

War has always been bloody, gory, horrific. Sadly, sometimes people demand war. "Good men sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf" Geo. Orwell.

We "lost Vietnam" because of color TV. Ponder that, and get back with me...

Billy, you are 100% right on what you said. We lost almost 60,000 Young Americans over in that God forsaken country. Big business and Washington DC wanted that war and they did not care what it cost in American lives. I worked on the Flight deck of the Kitty Hawk and almost bought the farm several times. it makes me very sad the damage that was done to so many innocent soldiers

There are quite a few vets that go back to say say goodbye to friends they lost and to help close their wounds. I would not go there, I still have too much anger, guilt feelings, trust problems and bad memories.
