Hi speed rail in the U.S.

I grew up near the New York Central Railroad in NYC. I’ve always had and still do a fascination with railroads, the history, and the current state of affairs. Re: Railroad history, I witnessed the famed 20th Century Limited as it passed through the station in my neighborhood on its final run to Chicago.
With the 6 Trillion dollar Bill passed, how much of the infrastructure (working on/ improving and advancing our railroad system ) will be dedicated to that goal?[image deleted]

Probably very little. Where I live I have to travel 60 miles one way to catch Amtrak. I ride it into Chicago sometimes. I have also been on the Amtrak from Plattsburgh, NY. I love riding on the train and know these are shorter runs. If it were available I would ride more often to more places. I know people that think riding a train is not an option but we do need more schedule train service in the country.
