I Have Synesthesia

I found out like two days ago that I (almost but not entirely certain) have ticker tape synesthesia. That means that I see the words in my head when I speak, hear someone speak or think vocally. If anyone is interested in chatting about synesthesia, leave a comment I guess!

That's interesting, I have never heard of this. I speak several languages and I colour code words in my head so I do not use them at the wrong time. I don't know if that is related, but that is how I visualise words.

@TammieBear Well I know nothing except what the internet told me, but my question would be: do you assign the colors to the words or do they come with them? Would you be upset or irritated if someone said the word had a different color?
If the colors are involuntary, it could very likely be synesthesia. Otherwise my guess would be it’s just a cool way of organizing thoughts, but like I said, this is just my opinion.

It's difficult to say. I've been doing it for so long that I may have made a conscious decision at one time but I can't remember. I've only really told my parents about it, so I've had no disagreement with my colour scheme!
