I Have Neck Pain

Today was a bad day. My 3 herniated discs acted up. If I didn't use my neck constantly, Id have tried to work. It was a no go. Due to the nature of my work, taking a muscle relaxer isn't a good idea. I have plenty of those too.

Neck throbbing into my lower head. If I wasn't on Trokendi (topamax) I'd have had a terrible migraine. It keeps the pain down. So a trip to the chiropractor for a treatment. Then home I stay. Took a muscle relaxer, 2 Alleve (which I shouldn't due to another condition but it's the only thing that helps when it's this bad), a sumatripan for the migraine symptoms and rubbed in some icy hot with lidocaine.

Hope tomorrow is better 😔

@FriendlyDaddyNY2: I can relate so well. Stress will definitely make it feel worse. I went through pain management years ago. I can't do drugs. And if you are a sensitive person you feel it even more.

I do meditation to help me deal as well.

I cant do narcotics because my work is safety sensitive. I do light pain meds and muscle relaxers. What types of meditation? How does it help?

@FriendlyDaddyNY2: for starters I have a knowing of a higher entity/being/energy or whatever one wishes to call theirs. I believe it's all the same. And it all comes from a Love that we cannot comprehend fully.

And so I thank God (its easier for me to just call It God) when I wake up every morning. First and foremost.

Then I do breathing exercises. Ever heard of the chakras. There 7 basics chakras that while you breathe in you cam clear them and the energies that may be causing pain in our bodies. The more you concentrate on your breathing the less pain you may feel. I actually have to remember to do the breathing especially when it prevents me from doing anything.

I've been doing these for years and it helps me to deal and relax. Otherwise I would have to be in pain meds. That's not an option for me.

There's many other kinds meditations. You just have to search for them till you find one that works for you.

That's a start. Hope it helps some.

If you were really Lucifer Morningstar you would have no pain or need for painkillers or muscle relaxers.
