Where are you from?

I'm curious about how many people from different places are on SW. I'm Cuban but I live in the U.S.

@Grateful4you other side of the mountain from you. Probably know exactly what area. Worked there once, on and off for twelve years.
@DeWayfarer My dad had a couple of stores, one in the movie colony, about a block north of Liberace's home.

@Grateful4you does this look familiar?

@DeWayfarer Around Lake Hemet?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Grateful4you closer to you. About 15 miles.
@DeWayfarer Morongo?

@Grateful4you wrong direction. It's off hwy 78 about a ¼ mile.

I ask because you could have seen me. Most in that area have. I worked there on and off 12 years.
@DeWayfarer I rarely head that way anymore. My folks had a house in the Friendly Hills area of Joshua Tree, since they died I rarely head down your way these days.

@Grateful4you actually hwy 74. 78 is south of there.
@DeWayfarer It's possible, driving in these parts often turns one into a space cadet, it's like "Oh, look another Yucca tree"

@Grateful4you you must be lower on the mountain then. Pinion pines area. Trying to find an image looking down on the Salton Sea from Santa Rosa mountain. It's directly above that whole area.
@DeWayfarer Oh yeah, the beautiful idyllic Salton Sea.

@DeWayfarer That DOES look vaguely familiar.

@Grateful4you that hill in front is pinion pines peak on the second image!

On the other side of the hill is the Sugar loaf Cafe.
@DeWayfarer Possible I've been there. Hiking used to be my favorite hobby until my injury.

@Grateful4you only two ways to get up there. One, which would be closest to you, is right behind where I worked! 😊
