I Am Learning Spanish

All this time, i thought 'my daughter' was 'mija'. I'm using duo lingo and I learned that it is actually ' mi hija'.

Yes.
But the coloquial apocope, m´hija (it sounds mija) is still used in some rural areas of my country and others.
