I Am Learning Spanish

One problem with learning two languages at once (so I've postponed the German, though I do speak it a little) is I'm thinking in German sometimes when I'm studying Spanish.

I thought I could brush up on the German as I've forgotten a lot since I've not used it in decades, but it's become confusing as Spanish is a new lanuage for me, and I need to concentrate on that.

Initially, I planned on three languages at once, but I'm going overboard. It's not like I'm a linguistic genius, and can compartmentalize all three. I can't. They get mixed up in my brain, so I'll focus on one at a time.

What mode of study are you using?

R. Stone. Don't want to give the full name. I get enough ads from them already. I'm also using a Spanish workbook which is really helpful. I was working the book earlier, and it's great as a supplement to RS.

Hmmmmm, I was researching the best way to learn a language and several reviewers rated RS poorly. It seems everyone agreed that immersion is the best way but there was no clear preference for any course of study.

@jim44444: I like RS, but it really needs a supplement workbook. Using logic does not always work with grammar. When I started the Hindi course with the Devanagari script ( नमस्ते) it was really hard and frustrating because I couldn't recognize individual letters at first, and there are some letters like "स" and "त" that join together to make "स्त." It took me ages, and a lot of googling to find out how to do that, and RS doesn't explain anything because you are supposed to use logic. Well you can't figure out in your own mind what you don't know. I now use RS as my main course, but I need other resources for an better learning experience.
