I Am Learning Spanish

One problem with learning two languages at once (so I've postponed the German, though I do speak it a little) is I'm thinking in German sometimes when I'm studying Spanish.

I thought I could brush up on the German as I've forgotten a lot since I've not used it in decades, but it's become confusing as Spanish is a new lanuage for me, and I need to concentrate on that.

Initially, I planned on three languages at once, but I'm going overboard. It's not like I'm a linguistic genius, and can compartmentalize all three. I can't. They get mixed up in my brain, so I'll focus on one at a time.

Exactly! That's me trying to learn German and Dutch both. When I'm learning German I start comparing it to Dutch. It helps/doesn't help that Dutch is a Germanic language...I study German more and then test my Dutch...it's said that once you're fluent you can learn Dutch in a month.

In your case maybe you can Learn Spanish and a language similar to it alternatively?
