I Wish You All A Happy New Year
I didn’t stay up to see the new year in! I did stay up later than normal. Because there was a film I wanted to see but I slept through most of it and was in bed by ten! But I want to share photos of the sunrise this morning. They are in Photos on my profile. Where I live it’s quite unusual to see the Sun at all! It was just like the dawn of a new year.
And I have no idea what the new year will bring. Theresa is a good PM. I trust her. But she seems determined that we will leave the EU in March. And I am not certain that we all want to or even a majority. UK should not mess with referenda. It’s not our way. If David Cameron hadn’t given us one, we would not be in this mess. And it was just his election gimmick. He jumped ship when he didn’t get the result he expected. I hope the history books in school record his incompetence.
But we are a resourceful people. We don’t really care what other countries think. Mr Trump tells us we will not get a trade deal with USA. Does it matter? The UK is lucky to have such a mixture of people with all their different attributes. Celts, Saxons, Picts, a bit of Roman (they got their pleasure somehow), West Indian, Indian, Pakastani, Bangladeshi, Polish. And I can never forget the Yemeni in Cardiff Bay. We in Wales owe a lot to these Welsh people. If I forgot you, please add to the list. Ok. Italians. They been making our ice cream. So many Welsh girls got Italian surnames!
