Jesus Suffered Temptation [Spirituality & Religion]

Jesus suffered temptation like all of us suffered but did not sin like we did.

'Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.' Mathew 4:10! Jesus never gave in.

Amen, sister, amen.
@GodSpeed63 Although, He doesn't need it, I watch over Him as He watches over me - and next to Him, I am weak.

Right. He knew what temptation felt like, so He could relate to our feelings of temptation, yet never sinned.

James 1:13, "Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone."
Heb. 4:15, "For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin."

Jesus came as a man in order to fulfill the law of God and to be the sacrifice for sin. He did this as a man. When He resisted the temptations of the devil, He quoted scripture - as a man. He did not at that time rely on His divine nature when going about His earthly ministry in Israel. As a man, He was tempted; and as a man, He resisted temptation by relying on God's word. He cast out demons by the Holy Spirit and not by His own divine nature. Therefore, Jesus was tempted in His human nature - not in His divine. He did not rely on His divine "side" to help Him out. Instead, He completely relied on the Father, the Holy Spirit, and God's word to successfully resist the temptations that came to Him.

@TheSociopathicSadomasochist
they're not one in the same?
You got that right.
@TheSociopathicSadomasochist Could you? Even some of the Angels whom God created and knew God well, still fell into temptation and followed Satan.

If I conquered my temptations I'd have nothing to worry about
If you overcome a temptation you get stronger spiritual.
My mind came be full of temptations and expectations, if I conquered them I wouldn't be doing too bad .
Usually temptations if you act on the causes you shame and a feeling of being ungodly .

@GodSpeed63 Again I say we have to be careful so we don't get too distracted with all the God haters here who say that God is unfair. It always leads me down a sad road. I don't think God wants us to waste our time with trollers who argue with us. And I always regret going on any atheist site. My temptation is that I think they really want to know God but they don't. I care too much and I think you do too. We have to stick in our own lane I think then I wont be so hurt when they are rude and hateful. Being a christian is lonely.

Amen to that, sister.

If we just follow Gods leading we wont get hurt. Feelings are fragile and easily we get distracted.

Someone had to take the high road right? If we all resisted, then there’d be no greater person to set the example right!

There's only one God, not three. There are, however, three persons in the Godhead, The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is family oriented.
