Why would an all-powerful, omnipresent, omniscient god want lesser beings to worship and give offerings to him? [Spirituality & Religion]

That sounds like something a narcissistic sociopath would do.

It won’t stop till people start to think for themselves and realise that God is consciousness, and not a deity to be worshipped

@SW-User Where did you learn that from?
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst different religious texts and some spiritual ones too
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@SW-User So youre just cherry picking without any thought behind it? Are you aiming to just please your own view of what you want it to be?

You see, reality isn't like that. You do not get to choose all the parts you approve of; because reality comes in a package of hard truths.

@AgapeLove Soo.. what does that have to do with anything?
SW-User
Aren’t you cherrypicking by choosing to follow a specific religion too? No two persons can ever have the same reality so your comment makes zero sense @MartinTheFirst
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@SW-User no I'm following the Bible and my best understanding of what the scriptures are saying.

You on the other hand pick from contradicting religions to fit your own narrative
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@SW-User And no one can have the same "reality"??? What does that even mean?
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst all religions lead to the same path, please be more open minded. Also, your reality will always mirror your thought patterns, belief systems, prejudices and past experiences: there’s a reason why the rich get richer and poor get poorer; so there’s nothing to debate here
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@SW-User no... islam leads to 72 virgins in heaven while JW leads to a paradise on earth with monogamy. That's certainly not the same path.

Like it says in the Bible, the path to life is narrow and few are those who find it. Open mindedness is the very opposite of what you want in times like these.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@SW-User Reality is objective truth. It does not need to fit your perspective and certainly seldom does.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst God in all religions comes down to consciousness, so there’s no point of bickering as at the end, no two people can ever have the same reality
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@SW-User Reality is objective. Our same reality is that we exist, the sun is warming our round planet and earthworms lives in the earth. Just like that reality, God either is there or isn't, and God is a certain way if he is, no matter what we believe. Reality is not subjective.

God is conscious, that doesnt make it all that he is. Just like how we're not just conscious.

@MartinTheFirstoversimplification of a debate does not answer it; stop making it about the Sun and moon when I am discussing the reality of every person on this planet.

“You talk to a Protestant, there is only one Christian, a Protestant. You talk to a Catholic, why there is nothing in the world that is a Christian but a Catholic. You talk to a Jew, and the Christians are heathens, and the Jews are the chosen. You talk to a Mohammedan, Jews and Christians are the infidels. You talk to someone else and all these are the untouchables. It does not matter to whom you talk, they are always the chosen ones.
If you believe that you must be one of these in order to be saved, you are still an insane man hiding behind these superstitions and these prejudices of the past, and you are begging not to be cleansed.”

@SW-User yes so you see there is no "personal reality". That defeats the purpose of what the word reality means.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst so everyone on this planet experience the same exact things from their birth to their death? You deflected from the point of the entire post just to feel superior about your religion lmao
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@SW-User No they don't, but what does that have to do with the objective reality of things??

No i'm not, i'm trying to teach you what reality means. ._.
SW-User
@MartinTheFirst wow ur a genius ty
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@SW-User It's okay to not know, you don't have to feel threatened about it and start to defend yourself. It's just a word, but an important word you should learn.

@MartinTheFirst lol! I don’t even stick to any particular ideology so I don’t think it’s me who should feel threatened
