I have alot on my mind today [Spirituality & Religion]

If the Bible (or any other religious text) is “truth” and “law” then is it not strange that humans are accepting laws written by men, and that there are many different versions seen from different perspectives? Which one is correct?
It matters not only what we believe, but why. The bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Greek word being "theopneustos", meaning "God-breathed", inspired by God, due to the inspiration of God. Words not entrusted to just any men, but to holy men of old, to write down under the direction and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Thank God, no one has to know how to read Greek, Hebrew, or any other language, in order to know how to be saved. Bible scholars have translated those languages, for us. Under the direction of men, yes, you're going to find spelling errors, translation errors, what have you, as man is flawed by sin, however, Jesus is without sin, perfect, and flawless. Man has tried to destroy His Word, burn it, deny it, mock it, ridicule it, yet it has survived all the way down through the ages, which in itself is a miracle, because while some papers may have been destroyed, God and His Word shall never pass away. So while we could dispute these things until we're blue in the face, let us not miss the main focus, which is how to get to heaven, because if we miss that important truth, we've missed everything. "For what shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, yet loses his own soul?" Mark 8:36

The reason followers of Christ say Jesus is the only way, is not out of arrogance or any feeling of superiority to others or regarding wisdom, in any way. It's because Jesus, being God's Son, is the only one who has access to His Father in heaven, who by His mediation, is able to communicate repentance on our behalf, to His Father.

Further, Christianity is not a religion. Religion is nothing but man-made philosophy. Anyone can have religion. Religion didn't suffer and die on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus did. Thats why it's noted as a personal relationship with Jesus.

The bible is as up to date as tomorrow's newspaper. No other book of any kind, can tell our future with precise 100% accuracy, like the bible does. It was not coincidental.

why be obsessed with religion when you don't even believe in it? do you want people to acknowledge how right you're and all the good points you're making? we get it, it was just decided in the 21th century that religion is bullshit and science holds the answer to everything, even when Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein were agnostics. So by that logic you declare you are able to comprehend/understand and declare which They didn't

@SW-User she made sure? She have that much control over your impulse? Pffff...You are those people who always have something negative to say, don't you?

Are you always so curious and deep? :-p
To know which one is correct is probably the ultimate knowledge a human being can acquire during the relatively short lifespan. To find that answer one would have to have open mind, courage and dedication. Above all, he would need help from the higher power to find the way. Keep looking and you will find it!

@DrMike Yes. Always!

Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's

I think the goal is to find the truth in all of them and make use of that knowledge. Like you can criticise biblical stories for not being "true" but the message it conveys can contain truth, which is most likely why it was written in the first place.

The Bible is not the "law"; St. Paul explicitly condemnds trying to follow the law, as it is impossible for men.

As for your general question, yes, cultures differ in their mores and laws. Even so, some rules (such as: Do not kill) are universal, accepted by all societies on Earth.

Yes but there are few differences like even if it is written by man it maybe the words of God and if it true it can be a law

@SW-User understood :)

@suchaslife thank you

@SW-User You're most welcome:)

Laws of god, laws of man, laws of the land, and the book they'll throw at you, were all written by man, and have many flaws.

The laws of physics are solid enough, but even there, you will find shenanigans.

There is one truth. Truth is not an agreement among people. I look at the Ten Commandments not as a list of don’ts but as an aid to understand the design of flesh.

I get concerned when people decide who God is and from sources I don’t consider authoritative.

It is said that the best version is the King James bible. It contains more books without the original words removed

@SW-User really? Whoooaaa
SW-User
@suchaslife Yes, it is the first Bible I read :)

All answers are within you, once you understand that you see the same threads throughout the ancient texts.

What would the world be like if there hadn’t been a set of 10 base rules to live by?
Would we be more advanced as a species.. or still primitive?
