Is the Christian Heaven really HEAVEN? [Spirituality & Religion]

There are those Christians who paint a too simplistic a picture of Heaven as being an eternal bliss. Yet there are Christians who aren't so comfortable. They are deeply disturbed by the thought of their love ones not being in Heaven with them. Some are disturbed by the thought of them being in great eternal torment. So much for being created in Eternal Love.

There are some Christians who do not believe Hell to be eternal torment, still torment, just not eternal, after which their love one will vanish forever such as the Seventh Day Adventist. Yet this does not abate their worries, their nightmares.

And they ask, what is Heaven, if not without the people they care about? What is heaven with their loves ones in Eternal Torment? What is Heaven, when someone important, close to their heart is missing? Is heaven still Really HEAVEN?

This is very significant. There are Christians who readily resign themselves to God in regards to whatever obstacles come what may in their lives. And yet this will deeply trouble them. Other Christians might not undertsand, as perhaps all their love ones are Christians. Other Christians may be troubled but just trust in the Lord and keep praying. But I return to those Christians, who perhaps succeed in convincing themselves to just trust in the Lord and keep praying but nevertheless, and now and again are very disturbed by this. And it nags at them, to the point of giving them, not just nightmares, but great pain and sorrow.
The answers here are unbelievable. The answers to life are in the Bible. God never asked or expected us to guess about:

1. How to have eternal life.
2. What to expect when we die.
3. Heaven or Hell.
4. How to avoid Hell.
5. Why we need Jesus.

When people don’t know these things, they start twisting the Bible around and scripture and guessing wrong. Read your Bible for yourself and see what it says instead of jumping to conclusions that we have a monster God. If it had not been for God‘s grace and all the suffering he did on the cross to save us from hell, we would have all died in our sins and gone to hell. God said in His Word that only a fool says there is no God. There will be no excuses why people had to miss heaven. There is not one person on this earth that has to go to hell. But if that is what you choose, God will honor your decision. I hope and pray that people will see that God does not wish anyone to perish. If he had, he certainly would not have left His Heavenly home to die such a torturous death on the cross. He not only said he loves us, he proved it. Jesus died, so that we may have eternal life in heaven with him. He does not hate people. He hates sin, because it separates us from God and heaven. All Jesus asks is that we repent of our sins, so that we can go to heaven. And people act like that’s too hard.

Those who are in hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5).

The Christian heaven is a myth...a fantasy. All the talk about living in mansions, streets of gold, the reward of jewels and precious stones for our good deeds after the "hay, wood, and stubble" for our bad deeds is burned away...and yet it is taught that we'll forever have everything we need. What would we need with all of that "wealth" then? Makes no sense at all. It's supposed to be a sin to want to accumulate all of that while here on Earth, and the love of money is the root of all evil, but "God" will give us all of that in heaven even though we'll have no real need for it or have anything to really use it for or on? Really?

Picture this. You've got a kid telling you the wonders of candies. Chocolate is the best thing in the world, the boy says. You want to turn his attention to something you know is better than chocolate - sex, for example (and we know sex is pretty better than chocolate). Yet, the boy asks: Can you eat chocolate whilst having sex? No, you tell him, and the boy refuses to accept that sex is good because he can't imagine anything better than chocolate. There's no candies during sex! What a grievance! We're like this boy. We look at the worldly pleasures, remember they ain't gonna be with us at Heaven, and then reject Heaven as being good. In reality, we can not even imagine what awaits us at Heaven.

This is a point made by C.S. Lewis. You can google it, if you want.

This world is ruled by Satan. The Bible says so. The world's not a good place. So, if there are glimpses of goodness in this world, just imagine what kind of good we can have in the world to come.
There’s only one Heaven. The picture you painted here and assume are characteristics of Christians and how they feel about things is totally inaccurate. There is no fear in perfect love. Meaning a relationship with Jesus.

That is a great question. How can heaven be “heaven” with the knowledge people are burning in agony for being different, for shaking their head no?

If you are God and by definition I know you to be the greatest authority with the greatest power who will provide heaven and save from Hell by accepting you who do I ‘really’ love, you or my eternal self-preservation? Myself. We only love ourselves because the second someone threatens our self-preservation or looks how we don’t like, smells like we don’t like, says words and uses tones we don’t like, touches us how we don’t like, or tastes how we don’t like... we drop them.

Everyone is promoting lies. I was talking to a person the other day about this topic and this is how I closed the deal:

If God exists and leaves this as his message:
Hello little fucks, I made all of you, thanks for destroying all plants and animals and at times even yourselves, so I’m sending you all you little fucks to hell, nothing you can do about it. I know it may seem unfair as you didn’t ask to exist in the first place and were forced to adapt through fear to life but I don’t care. Everyone is going to hell to suffer forever because I feel like it!

And IF someone still wanted to follow this top authority with the greatest power THEN it wouldn’t just be about eternal self-preservation.

God is loving and God is just. If we enter heaven it is only by God's grace and mercy.
You’ve got that right, sister. @NewBecky
Deep and well written. Also one person's heaven could be another person's hell.
At the end of the day and after all of the questions, we just won’t know until we die.

We must love others enough for them to make their own choices.
Perhaps God will make you forget about your love one? He just might be that devious. Might not stop you from crying while here on earth though, if anything, might make you cry all the more. Note: if you're a Christian replace devious with perfect, genious, creative. Never question his morality!

As stated in the song "And When I Die" by Blood Sweat and Tears:
…... My troubles are many, they're as deep as a well
I can swear there ain't no heaven but I pray there ain't no hell
Swear there ain't no heaven and pray there ain't no hell,
But I'll never know by living, only my dying will tell....

I think everyone should read "The Shack" .. plus, i've read and seen countless stories about people that have died then come back, and they all seem to say the same thing..
I’ve read it and saw the movie. We have to be careful of those type things. It was not based on the Bible. So far from it it’s not funny. @booboo

Maybe that's part of why they'll only marry other Christians.
