Because I just know. The encouragement, comfort, and peace I find while reading the Word is something that only the Holy Spirit can provide.
@Pinkstarburst

I dunno. I find a lot of comfort and peace reading lord of the rings and frankly tolkein's mythology is a lot more fleshed out.
Does that mean it's real or divine?
@Pikachu It means if that's where you find comfort and peace then that's wonderful. The question was what do I think. Everyone thinks differently about things.
@Pinkstarburst

Sure and that's wonderful. I'm just suggesting to you that the way it makes you feel is not necessarily a reliable way of knowing that it is of divine origin.
Nothing wrong with thinking through our the basis for out beliefs, is there?
@Pikachu I don't believe that is what you are fishing for Pikachu. It seems to me you want to debate/disprove/insult those who are believers. I'm sorry but I don't debate. My faith is my own. I don't care what others believe...you wanna find divine inspiration from a hippo in a pink tutu??? Go for it...your choice.

You want to disprove God then go for it
@Pinkstarburst

I do not seek to disprove or insult and i hope you won't tar me with that brush simply for challenging you to examine your beliefs and think about their basis.

I DO want to debate.
If that is not something that is of interest to you then you're under no obligation to participate.

Have a pleasant evening🙂
I have no reason to tar anyone just because they believe differently than I.

Enjoy your evening as well.
You got that right. @Pinkstarburst
