There are no such people but, if your talking about skeptics, I'm pretty sure some of them do just for fun.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 Its ok, we atheists believe in you, even if you don't believe in us!
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pherick
Its OK, we atheists believe in you, even if you don't believe in us!
Atheists are skeptics lying six feet under their headstones. If you want to call yourself atheist, that's your choice, but, as long as you're alive, you're going to believe in some type of god and put your faith in that god.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 Ummm no. :)

I am alive and I put my faith in no god.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pherick Whatever.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 Happy Holidays!
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Pherick lol! It's like a creationist version of one of those military scenes I've seen in films:

If you do not have a god, a god will be issued to you!!
Pherick · 41-45, M
@newjaninev2 Sir, sir! My god tried to touch me with his noodly appendage!
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2
If you do not have a god, a god will be issued to you!!
More like you already have a god and you're being made aware of it.
@GodSpeed63
There are no such people but
Wrong.

An atheist is someone who does not believe or disbelieves in the existence of a deity.
Many such people exist.
No matter how you attempt to twist the meaning of the word (and you must, since no definition supports your assertion) it does not make atheists any less of a real thing.

Oh, you'd like to say that people replace god in their lives with false idols like money or sex or pride? Fine. But those people still do not believe that those things are deities.

Check mate😁

@Pikachu
An atheist is someone who does not believe or disbelieves in the existence of a deity. Many such people exist.
That's right, which is why they're lying six feet under their headstones. They're not capable of believing, but you are, because you're still alive.
Check mate
Why checkmate? Don't you realize that you're being premature?
@GodSpeed63
Why checkmate? Don't you realize that you're being premature?
I'm not being premature at all.
There is simply no definition of atheist OR theist which supports your view.

And you've just proven that your argument is weak to everyone here by FAILING to refute in even the smallest way the argument which i have put forth.
You don't even attempt to debate the subject matter because you know that you cannot. You know that you have LOST.

Prove me wrong. Go on, show the class the validity of your argument.
Explain why those who identify as atheists actually DO believe in a deity.

😁😁😁

@Pikachu
I'm not being premature at all. There is simply no definition of atheist OR theist which supports your view.
It looks like it to me. You sound like lord haw haw or Tokyo Rose. They were always presuming that Allies were going to lose the war, instead, the Allies won.
@GodSpeed63

Woops, still no rebuttal.
It looks like it to me
No. Io think that this looks to you exactly the way it looks to me and everyone else:

You're backed into a corner because you realize that you cannot refute my arguments nor defend your own and so you attempt to redirect the conversation.
Not happening.

Guess what, guy?
THAT is...

GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu
No. Io think that this looks to you exactly the way it looks to me and everyone else:
Who's everyone else? I only see you on here. What part of me already hitting a home run don't you understand?
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 The part you don't understand is that you hitting a home run only happened in your dreams, while the rest of us are watching the actual game.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pherick
The part you don't understand is that you hitting a home run only happened in your dreams, while the rest of us are watching the actual game.
What you don't understand is that the home run I hit is the gift salvation I received through Jesus Christ by His Holy Spirit. Where you say that I'm striking out, God says I've already won.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 Technically god or JC hasn't said or told you anything. Some dudes from 3000 years ago told you the rules, you are just following them and hoping they are right.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pherick
Technically god or JC hasn't said or told you anything.
Do you live my life or do I? Who are you to tell me that I'm not saved?
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 I made no comment on your "being saved" or not. I merely commented on the fact that god or JC has not told you (or anyone for that matter) anything directly.

Are you saying that god or JC speaks directly to you? Like in actually "voice in your head" words? Or just "feelings"?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pherick
I made no comment on your "being saved" or not. I merely commented on the fact that god or JC has not told you (or anyone for that matter) anything directly.
Again, I ask, do you live my life or do I?
Are you saying that god or JC speaks directly to you? Like in actually "voice in your head" words? Or just "feelings"?
God speaks to me in many ways. Rarely does He speak to me audibly and no, I don't hear voices in head. He only has one voice which is quiet and gentle. Mostly, His Spirit converses with mine.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 Again, stop trying to act like I am making assumptions about "who lives your life" I asked a question and you took it in a different direction, that I am trying to get you to come back and answer.

So you are saying that you don't hear voices, but that he DOES rarely speak audibly to you? Like a voice from on high that everyone can hear? You also claim his "spirit" converses with yours, which is really just a way of saying you have "feelings" in certain situations.

So going back to the original question of whether god "says" anything to you, the answer is still NO.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pherick
Again, stop trying to act like I am making assumptions about "who lives your life" I asked a question and you took it in a different direction, that I am trying to get you to come back and answer.
You made the assumption that God or Jesus didn't speak to me. Then, you asked your question which I answered.
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 Stop skipping over the question. You said that god "says" things to you, I am trying to get you to say whether god actually "speaks" to you, as in a voice that only you can hear or if this is a case of "I feel this way, so it must be the "spirit" telling me something."
So you are saying that you don't hear voices, but that he DOES rarely speak audibly to you? Like a voice from on high that everyone can hear? You also claim his "spirit" converses with yours, which is really just a way of saying you have "feelings" in certain situations.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pherick
Stop skipping over the question
I already told you how He speaks to me, okay?
Pherick · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 Actually you didn't. You said this,
God speaks to me in many ways. Rarely does He speak to me audibly and no, I don't hear voices in head. He only has one voice which is quiet and gentle. Mostly, His Spirit converses with mine.
Which is alot of wishy-washy BS and it contradicts itself a few times. I was trying to pin you down on some concrete answers, but shockingly you tried to change the subject multiple times, then claimed you already answered the question.
