We need a moral compass and not just go with the flow. We need to follow rules and commandments or else we wont have boundaries. [Spirituality & Religion]

Many christians make mistakes but they have a moral compass that will eventually steer them into the right direction. That compass is faith in christ and not sinning. Society breaks down when people have no moral accountability and everything goes. That is one of the reasons they want take laws like the ten commandments out of christianity by saying we are under grace and not under the law (This takes moral accountability out of christianity and makes us like godless people)
You don't need religion to have morals.
If you can't determine right from wrong then you lack empathy, not religion.
@whippersnapper many people need rules or else anything goes. The few that behave themselves without any rules are very few and far in between.

And then there are the narcissists and sociopaths that hide behind religion to abuse others. They use shame. They use guilt. They prey on the less fortunate. It has been occurring since the dawn of "organized religion".

God has one rule. Love One Another.

If you can't get that right, you failed as a human being.
@whippersnapper it is love for my neighbour that led me to posting this question.

Your Cherry picking again. 10 commandments!! There's many more, but you conveniently choose to ignore them.. I wonder why...🤔
@Harriet03 im not cherry picking. I use the ten commandments as an example of the laws being removed from modern christianity.

@lightshinesthroughdarkness Why just those 10?
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@Harriet03 There's over 600! Most of which are not very nice & would never be accepted/ tolerated.
That's Cherry picking! Sorry

Theologically, the present time is the dispensation of grace, as the story unfolds, i see it all going according to plan, for example a massive lack of authenticity in the faith, that which is false is commonly seen as true, just the way it's supposed to be before the "tribulation"..... as in the days of Noah .....:)
