When you need God’s peace, over panic. [Spirituality & Religion]

The enemy (Satan) will lure us towards panic and worry, if we focus on all that is wrong in this world. He knows just what button to push, to set you off, but God offers us confident peace, when we keep our mind stayed on him, that can never be found in this chaotic world, without him.

[c=#BF0000]Isaiah 26:3 - You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.[/c]

You see that? That’s the key. Perfect peace comes to us, though we’re all frazzled and upset, by keeping our minds on Jesus. Ask for his help in choosing not to worry, but instead to pray, allowing his Spirit to guard your heart and mind in him.

We can only concentrate on one thing at a time. Why not think on things that are healthy for us? We can’t be hateful and grateful, all at the same time, and a heart of gratitude is good for your heart and soul, [b]any[/b] time.

I understand what you are saying and I believe it. The issue that I have is my sinfulness. Controlling my thoughts is a struggle that I have yet to master. Thankfully, God accepts my apologies.

@Autumnlover He sure does, sweet lady. Honey, this battle of the mind is something we shall struggle with until we see Jesus. We all do. Anyone who says differently, is sadly mistaken, because Satan loves to attack our thoughts on a daily basis, so that we can become depressed and discouraged, as he does not want us to keep our mind on Christ and wants to make us miserable, so that our walk and service in Christ, shall be less effective. He wants us so miserable, that he puts us out of commission to do anything for Christ. However, the good news is, that we can resist the devil and he has no choice but to flee, when asked to leave, by the authority of Jesus. When I catch myself thinking things that I shouldn’t, I right away, choose to think of something else, that is wholesome and healthy. The mind is the battleground that Satan chooses to discourage and defeat us with. But when we stay on guard, which takes training, but is not hard, we can resist the devil effectively. It helps to quote scripture and read the Bible. I always think of the verse that says, “greater is he that is in me, then he that is in the world.“ This is so true. It means we can have victory over the devil in our life, in our mind, and in our walk for Christ. I absolutely adore and love that Bible verse you quoted. Yes, if we follow those instructions in the Bible, such is that verse, there’s no doubt we’ll have victory in Jesus. Thank you SO much for sharing this morning. Lovely!

Ah. A great lesson in loving our enemies, as well as those who treat us well. Anyone can love someone who is good to them, but it shows what a person is really made of, when they can love their enemies and show love like Jesus did to us, who put him on the cross and did not even deserve it. @SoggedNapped
