many morally dubious episodes in the bible. the flood, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and turning a woman to salt just for looking, the torture of Job just to make a point, asking Abraham to kill his son just to test him( and the fact that to pass the test he had to actually attempt to do it while any moral person would have protected the child and defied authority), the plagues of Egypt, the temptation of Adam and Eve( would be legally called entrapment), and to top it off, the whole concept of Jesus dying on the cross to save us from our sins means that he was the blood sacrifice required to free all humanity from their sin, so basically, god required us to kill his own son to free us from our sins (ancient Hebrews sacrificed lambs to be forgiven for their sins and Jesus was the big lamb sacrificed to free us all from our sins. oh, and the ritual of symbolically drinking the blood of jesus and eating his body (ritualistic cannibalism).
