I Can Talk On The Phone If You Want To

I don’t normally talk on the phone but I want to more. I was talking with a woman on here. It was a very friendly conversation. We talked about life and whatever for at least a few hours. I think it’s good to hear someone’s voice because it’s a closer connection than just texting someone. You feel like you are there with them. I want to continue to talk with others.

I am glad you like the phone. That noise box I have rings ALL DAY AND HALF THE NIGHT - and usually I check the Caller I.D. before answering. if it's an unidentified number of any kind or says "wireless caller"- I simply don't pick it up. If I know the company or person who is calling, I will accommodate you. People who call me before eight in the AM or at my lunch or dinner time are nothing I want to talk to. Same thing for very late in the evening (after nine at night). Unless it's an emergency.

I have gotten to the point where I turn off the ringer at bedtime so I can sleep in peace. I had someone who called me after midnight and rang the phone for a solid half-hour without let. I feel at that time of the night it was some drunk who dialed the wrong number. It woke me out of a sound sleep and I refused to get out of a warm bed to answer it.

I had an answering machine - once. I came home one night and there was one message on the phone - to "go **** yourself - honey." That was all I needed. No more machines. If I am not at home - or in bed sound asleep - then they miss me.
