!!!COMMENCING EXTERMINATION!!!

I have completely moved in by the 6th. At fist I haven't seen any bugs except one. Killed it, thought nothing of it and continued to spray my apartment around the vents/baseboards, cracks and crevasses with pesticide. But I came home Sunday night to find a roach congregation in my kitchen since they found my chips ahoy. Small, big, everywhere. I'm a clean person so their presence is quite odd that one box just attracted them out of hiding.I suppose the previous tenants or my neighbors are nasty af.

I moved all of my food that isn't completely sealed into my fridge. Cans and sealed packaging left in my cabinets. Every surface wiped down, everything clean. Still woke up today to finding about four of them and one climbing the wall near my bed.

I'm getting paranoid of them. I've deep cleaned my apartment twice. Now I need to work on getting this infestation out of my apartment before my wife moves in. She's allergic to these little shits. I know how to make bait for them: egg yolks, boric acid, sugar, TONS of it. Should kill their nest and any remaining buggies near or around or in my unit. But it will cause another congregation that I will have to hold off on killing so they can bring it back to their colony.

There's never only one.
You mentioned apartment - that implies other living units in the same building. That means the building is infested and needs to be treated. Some tenants may need instruction how to keep their place bug free.

Get yourself an insecticide duster and shoot boric acid behind your cabinets, around your pipes, hot water heater, washer and dryer, your fridge motor, and use a residual spray around the baseboards, inside the cabinets, etc. Bathroom too. Then leave it, dont clean it for several days. Counting on them eating bait will get you disappointed. Use it, traps too. For those damned things, you have to pull out all the stops.

A lifetime ago, I spent some time as an exterminator in north carolina.
You can be the cleanest person on earth and still get infested.

All apartments will need to be treated at once or they will just move from one to the next temporarely.
