What’s the main cause of death for all these native children in Canada?

Mandatory government residential schools for Native children in Canada started in 1920 and were mostly phased out by 1969. Hundreds of unmarked graves have been recently discovered and news reports suggest tuberculosis as the major cause of death. But Canada started administering a vaccine for that in 1921.

So is it another cause?

I don't think they will know unless they exhume all the graves.

Canada appointed a commission to look into these deaths, and so far they have identified 4100 deaths of children who died while in residential schools.
