I Think Modesty Is Attractive
I am glad this group is here.
I am reminded of an experience I had years ago. Our daughter had just outgrown the "girls" section of the clothing stores, and my wife and I were aghast at what was being sold in the bigger sizes. Someone suggested we look online.
I discovered that whenever I googled phrases like "modest clothing", all I would find were sites for Muslim clothing! (this was a long time ago -- our daughter is in her late 20's now.) As much as I think Muslim women can look quite attractive in those clothes, they were not what we were looking for. I found it amazing that the word "modest" seemed to imply "Muslim". I thought that was a sad commentary on the state of our culture.
