I Know You Did What You Had To Do, But I'll Miss You

@amvanquish other than having a firework malfunction and blow up literally inches from my face and blowing gravel out of the asphalt into my face ,
it was perfect ,
I sang lots of songs ,once I could hear again .
My Grandson preformed with me ,it was a killer night
got home just hours before dawn still pumped up

explosives blowing up that close to me and I didn't get harmed or anyone else
and everyone really enjoying themselves ,it was really cool
I needed a good night ,,I got one
And I got invited to play for another event too
So yea ,it was good

You had an angel at your side. That’s good you’re all safe and sound. I think you’ll enjoy playing at the next event just as much. It was an ordinary day here but a good one.

@amvanquish Yea it was the anniversary of my friends death
and he was also a musician ,and his widow wanted me to play on his equipment ,
but I know my own stuff and settings ,so I still carried my own stuff except
for the PA system ,,and his is a little newer than mine so more features ,
And the place we played was his bar /studio
With all the hanging pool table lights and tables ,full bar ,neon lights
It was for all purpose's a bar
Only very few people had anything with alcohol to drink ,
there was food and all kinds of beverages ,but only a couple drank at all .
So it had the feel of old times ,except my Grandkids and their friends ,and my Daughters friends ,and the host and her friends all getting a chance to see what I love to do ,but without the drunks ,,so the host said she wants to manage me (I need someone to promote me ,I am not good at selling myself )
That she already had something in mind ,made a phone call and it is set .

And yes everyone said that ,,as always my angel was there looking after me
This explosive was the equivalent ,of 6 )1/2 sticks of dynamite ,,
So 5 blow together ,the percussion hit hard ,and one of the sticks comes flying at me ,,lands literally inch's from me ,,and I don't have time to even roll out of its way ,,,everyone said they just knew I was going to be hurt bad
(and though it was not his fault ,had I been hurt my Grandson would have blamed himself since he fired it )

But mainly pebbles it blew out of the asphalt hit me ,,everyone got peppered ,and the host got a small burn and she was a ways from me
But once my ears stopped ringing so I could think straight again ,the show went on .
A few songs I sang with my Daughter even made me cry ,,it was a very emotional time ,
The main song that I choked up on was "when you say noting at all "
I don't have a mate who is always there to catch me when I fall ,
but my kids sure are ,,her singing it with me made it all the more touching
