I Think Karl Marx Had Some Good Points

Marx made a lot of insightful observations of human society, and especially of how the ability to find work had changed with the industrial revolution, and it's consolidation of economic strength. He had good ideas about social destruction at the hands of the owners of industry, but his failure to fully address the base level of greed in the hearts of men meant his ideas would ultimately fail the test and prove too utopian.

Capitalism itself doesn't account for the greed in the hearts of men, or rather, the greed in the hearts of men which Capital sows necessarily as a preposition for and also affect of itself.

Karl had an elegant system planned out. Only one flaw in it.. It didnt account for people. That is where the inequity in the system comes from. On paper Communism works just fine.

@whowasthatmaskedman It works on paper if you remove any ruler or ruling class. In any society or system either everyone is equal or no one is. You are right, it is the nature of people that screws the pooch.

He wasn’t dumb

But I don’t think he was right

I've never read his manifesto, but I did read recently that many economists are revisiting it looking for ideas. Capitalism certainly seems to have had it's day.

@ozgirl512 That's very true! The market led economy has failed because too much has been put in a single basket!
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@Marganitbatadam not sure what you mean by that?
Marganitbatadam · 22-25, F
@ozgirl512 The economics of capitalism has been too long dependent on stocks and shares, and the investment of capital in these alone has been the pitiable great mistake!
