I had the opportunity to see Dolly Parton's Pure & Simple tour. I am not a big country music fan but I had to see her once. She was absolutely awesome. One of my favorite songs is "Jolene"
Dolly told the true story about why it was written. Seems her husband Carl Dean was doing a lot of banking when they had little money. She decided she needed to some banking too. She showed up at the bank and her husband was sitting on the loan officers desk, flirting with her. He told her that the loan officer was helping him get a loan for asphalt equipment. She told him he better get his ass home. (her words not mine)
