Degbeme It's not so much the object, as the experience. As an object, a Porsche 911 is just another car... transportation. But as an experience, it's more than amazing. The sound of the engine is an addiction that many carry for their entire life. The quick throttle response, precise shifter, light steering, amazing brakes... glued to the road through the tightest of corners... it cries out to be driven fast, and only starts to really come alive over 80 mph. Those memories... the sights, the sounds, the feelings... are what a Porsche owner wants to experience over and over and over. But for me, that will not be an option. I sold the Porsche because I could no longer drive it due to increasing motor neuron disease in my legs. The memories are what I have left.
