@aniave You can find the old hymn on YouTube. Also Wikipedia and most old-fashioned hymnals including Baptist and Pentecostal ones. It might get a smile out of her if you sing about her home country. I don't know how to post links here unfortunately.

@purplepen @Far away the noise and strife upon my ear is falling, then I know the sins of life beset on every hand. Doubt and fear and things of earth in vain to me are calling...none of these shall move me from Beulah Land.

I'm living on the mountain underneath a cloudless sky! I'n drinking from the fountain that never shall run dry! oh, yes, I'm feasting on the manna from a bountiful supply, for I am dwelling in Beulah Land.

I have become persuaded that people know when they are dying and they begin a transition...i have my own beliefs about transition to what, but I don't think that affects what I'm talking about. It's like they've planned a trip and are mentally going over a checklist. They're not yet gone, but they're not entirely HERE anymore.

I think it's always hard when someone you love dies or is soon to die, it's not so much their age, but our connection to them that makes it hurt more or less. I think you are absolutely right to count the many blessings, but that's not to say it won't still be absolutely sad and upsetting when the time comes x
