I Have Controlling Parents

I love my parents with my life, but I really can’t stand being with them in the same room for more than 5 minutes.

What can you do to make the transition into an adult to adult relationship with them?

Believe me, I’ve tried, but they want to control all aspects of my life, or judge me for what I think is correct, and I end up loosing my calm with them.

@KillerQueen1 They may never lose that instinct but hopefully you can get them to bite their tongues and save the judging for when they are talking about you after you leave.
