Knowing full well in advance the expected media wrath why did President Trump summarily terminate Director Comey nonetheless?

Ok silly people, I'll say this just once. Listen good.

Some of you are buying into the dimwit talking point that President Trump fired comey because he wanted to stop the Russia investigation. Now I know you libs just take what your party says and run with it without using your brain and thinking, it's why hillary called you easily manipulated stooges. But you ARE capable of thinking. So think. Why would trump fire comey in order to thwart the Russia investigation when the second in command, and the acting director, is a die hard political democrat who supported hillary? Huh? Do I hear the wheels in your mind grinding back to life?

The new acting director testified this week that the investigation is continuing, that there has been no interference from anyone at the WH, that they have enough funds to do the investigation, settling that media lie that resources were requested and denied.

Now this is for windinhishead in particular:

The investigation as far as the trump campaign is concerned was finished before trump was even sworn in. Here's how I come to that conclusion, I don't need to work for the FBI to figure this out.

On Nov. 9th obama ordered all surveillance that included anyone on the trump campaign pulled and inspected for any collusion. It has been testified that this can be done. That is why clapper and the others have testified three times that there is no evidence of collusion. They already investigated it when they were still in their positions. To NOT have done this would have been politically stupid and while obama may be a second rate lawyer (as evidenced by the number of times he has been slapped down by the courts) he is no political dummy. That part of the investigation has been completed. It's how the Flynn stuff was fond out. And that was revealed months ago. But go ahead and remain a stubborn old fool, IDC, you're pathetic no matter what.

I think trump correctly concluded that no matter what he does, or when he does it, the demoncrats and their media arm would try to make something evil out of it. And their behavior will backfire.

He cannot control his impulses. He was upset at several things that Comey said during his recent Senate testimony, and the fact that Comey wouldn't give his staff a preview. Trump considers this disloyal, which apparently is the worse crime someone can commit in Trump's eyes. And then there is the investigation which is ongoing that Trump wants to stop. He simply miscalculated the blowback.

I think either Trump has made a big error or he thought that Comey was onto something.
