What is the most successful way to be a delusional left wing liberal politician ? Hide under the guise of the inclusion banner while shutting down any free speech you disagree with. Flood your country with illiterate low skilled misfit illegal immigrants and hand them entitlements in return for their votes. After you spend years in political office raping tax payers for your living, go on a book and speech tour and get paid millions of dollars by the lobbyists you did favors for while you were in office.

If all that fails, just go into a college and I guess become a Marxist professor, then indoctrinate young people with leftists ideas which only work well on a chalkboard but never in reality.

Oh if you wondered why I didn't discuss a left wing talk show host. Well that is because their audience has virtually zero ratings. Maybe you and a few fringe left wing nutcases listen to that garbage but people who work for a living don't.

Sadly, added to that formula are ratings for the media here. CNN and the like gather giant panels of talking heads to 1) sound wise and 2) generate conflict, talking points and scandal -- the ingredients of ratings.

We're having considerable trouble these days discerning reality from entertainment. Personally, I think it started when we reluctantly agreed to call McDonald's real food and it's been getting worse since then. We've managed to culminate in a reality-star-as-President. I am so proud of us.

So yes, we gather people to say effectively, "Is not, you are." Sometimes they've done it spectacularly badly, bringing in trolls. Other times, they make a point. But the point you make in strange bedfellow and the comfort they can bring is keen. I think there's an entire avenue to explore on that point.

There's a "conservative" named Alveda King for example, niece of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, who makes claims that people who were closer to him (his widow, sons, and fellow civil rights activists) have refuted. She basically pimps his name to support her agenda and the right wing eats it up.

I probably agree with most of what you think --but the last thing the world needs is another political commentator. Find another way to live your beliefs besides politics or the chattering class -- like being a father or a priest.
