There is so much skewed history and understanding in this post it'd take too long just to get your eyes uncrossed.

@Graylight What is there to not understand?
I'm literally just pointing out that the Union had no right to be upset at the South seceding when they had no problem seceding native land for union states.
Either you're against secession or you're not.

@MickRogers First, there is no "one or the other." You're trying to force a predicted outcome.
Secondly and again, way too much to unpack in that word goulash.

@MickRogers Taking land isn't secession, silly.

Biggest mistake Lincoln made was not allowing the South to secede. Now we are stuck forever paying for those unproductive losers.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@independentone He left them alone until they started shooting.

Colonization and secession are two very different things.
snowbelt · 61-69, M
Colonists stole Native American land to colonize and to eventually form the US. Confederates were a bunch of whiney losers who tried to destroy the Union to sustain slavery and the slave economy. Both were wrong, but that is the only thing they have in common.

We're not angry. A few southerners are because they lost and can't get over it.
Rickg · 31-35, M
They are a bunch of secessionists
I say they should make things right and rejoin Great Britain
And maybe ask nicely for independence like Canada

Study history. You may gain an appreciation of the fact that while some things remain the same, how people think - culture changes.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
Tough shit - confederates didn’t have the balls or the muscle needed, way of the world.
Union ok with native land seceding from their society to become a US state?
I'm not sure if I'm following you correctly, but if I am, then I'm not sure that's seceding... that's a new but different group of people taking over.

Because they are idiots who are stuck in the past.

Same idea -- might makes right -- not so tricky.
