Do the Republicans really think having Trump as Speaker of the house is a good idea?

Trump delegated his job as President to Jared so he could do rallies. Trump was the only President ever to start campaigning again in his first year in office. He went rouge many times, supporting Putin rather than all agencies that protect the US. What if Trump goes rouge as Speaker? How does he get the adulation he needs as Speaker? How does he keep his name in the Media as Speaker?

no, i sure as frick hope not. he's made too many enemies at that level, you'd think.
@pentacorn They need Trump's base so Trump can shit his pants on stage and they will make excuses.
pentacorn · F
@Pitchblue his base needs to die out already. it's a race between who will die (out) first, at this point.
@pentacorn If the R get in a position of power again they will stop voting and completely take over the Justice System to make laws that protect Corporations.
pentacorn · F
@Pitchblue we can't let them in again. they're f'n Nazis.

seriously, they will have a very hard time getting in again anytime soon. it's already something they had a hard time doing, hence the electoral college. everyone's hung up on what he's doing to people's careers right now, but the real damage he's doing is to the R party. damage control for years to come.
@pentacorn We will see in 22 if all the Voter Suppression Laws work for them. They can win if they can stop people from voting. They will do anything to get power again legal or not. These recounts are going to lead to Republicans that won't leave office AFTER being voted out. Rigged Election, Bla Bla Bla. Anything to gerrymander, suppress votes, harvest ballots, outright fraud and intimidation.

@Pitchblue i know, and it's nothing new. that's been their m.o. since forever ago. but... just like DJT, they will leave if voted out. if there were a way he could have stayed, he would have, no doubt.
@pentacorn He's giving every Republican an excuse to stay. F the election. The election was fraudulent, I won't leave. It's been proven the 2020 election was not fraudulent but State Republicans are spending millions to keep the Big Lie in play. Now Republicans like Gaetz are saying people should use guns against people they don't like. Abbott wants everyone over 21 to be carrying a gun in public. Mo Brooks just went into hiding rather than explain what he said, what his intentions were in his speech on Jan 6th. Will we see a Coup if they lose big in 22?
@pentacorn I'm for genocide against all Trump supporters. Maybe we can get some of those ovens from Germany, they seat 12 I hear.
pentacorn · F
@Pitchblue we will not see a coup in 2022. as much as these armed bullies would like to take over with hate and violence, they will be outmatched, and unsuccessful. neither side will achieve an autocracy. people have been made freshly aware of the danger of complacency. they do not outnumber us, especially the lunatic fringe faction. have some faith, but stay vigilant.
pentacorn · F
@independentone ngl... the thought has crossed my mind. they are a clear and present danger, and it is tempting af.
@pentacorn Why do you think the Republicans won't investigate an attack on the US Government? Why don't they want to know why people wanted to hang the VP of the country?
pentacorn · F
@Pitchblue because it's their voters and they are the instigators.

would you investigate yourself if you were guilty and given a choice?
@pentacorn Republicans are moving in that direction faster. After they make new laws for the homeless, just in time for the rent moratorium to be dropped, what is their plan for the homeless? Right now it's a $500 fine, money they know for sure homeless people don't have.
@pentacorn Nope, if I committed a crime I wouldn't ask to be investigated. The Executive Branch inciting an insurrection against the Legislative Branch to change the outcome of a democratic election is just the beginning and the Democrats don't seem to be fighting at all.
pentacorn · F
@Pitchblue yes, they suck to no end, but they know there is no point to being rich if there aren't poor people. it's the middle class they want to eradicate. i'll have to look into this fine for being homeless. i haven't been educated about that yet.
@pentacorn Texas all Abbott has to do is sign it. It's a camping law but if you are outside and have a blanket ... $500
pentacorn · F
@Pitchblue they are fighting. the only reason you know about the skeevy things R's are doing is because there is a grassroots movement to fight these sorts of things. the movement against DJT was highly organized, and the R's knew it, and they voted in higher numbers than ever... and they still lost, thank fuck.
@pentacorn The Republicans never win the popular vote that's why they are making Voter Suppression Laws so they can hang on to Red States. The Dem's will need 2 to 1 votes to win in Red States.
pentacorn · F
@Pitchblue i know. and we can do it. Dem's are famous for becoming complacent due to the odds having been in our favor right before every election that ends in an R winning. we've all had the scare of our lives. these Republicans are not smarter than us, and we should be thanking them for showing their hand, because that's why the will continue to lose.
