Is diplomatically conceding defeat an important skill for an adult?

Yes...as important as having the balls to go against the grain if you know its the right thing to do..

...its just a matter of the right response in the right context..

***and no, Trump's response is not the right thing and not the right context***

it depends on the individual i guess and too who i think this point is all about he will never take defeat lying down his simple arrogance will not let him concede some are gracious in defeat but this guy has no understanding of this concept of fair play @'burnley123

Absolutely... humility... the art of being a gracious loser, of learning from our mistakes.. these are the things that really make us
It is so important to be able to lose with grace.

@bijouxbroussard His reaction is literally that of a selfish child.
@Burnley123 I have been reading about the relationship between Bush Snr and Bill Clinton. They became very close.

This was the letter Bush left for Clinton when he entered the White House, can you imagine Trump doing that?
@InOtterWords The letter George W left for Obama was just as gracious, and they are now friends, too. At no point did Obama ever speak badly of his predecessor, and he wrote a similarly encouraging letter to Trump. Obama even held his tongue regarding Trump’s behavior for a long time, gave him a chance to really screw things up before commenting.
That requires him to be an adult instead of an overgrown child, though... 🤷‍♀️
The ability to do so is the mark of maturity. Nobody wins every time, so the first thing most people teach their children is how to accept it gracefully and move on.
AKA “good sportsmanship”.
