Why do they say it's confidential who u vote for when ppl let us know who they're supporting anyways?

People can say they are voting for a martian. The point is nobody but you will know who you actually voted for. Or that is how it should be.

I remember when it wasn't okay to ask people who they're voting for.
@InkBot I do remember that time, too. It was considered impolite, like asking someone how much money they made. But I understand some folks ask that too, now. 🙁

@bijouxbroussard Also, it was never okay to ask a woman how old she is.
@InkBot One still asks that at their peril. 😋

It means it's your choice to reveal or not reveal who you vote for. Legally, no one can force you to reveal your vote, to protect you from retaliation of any kind. If you go ahead and say it anyway, that's all on you.

Americans are the only people in the world that seems to think others care for their political, racist and financial situation.
Unfortunately through dumb influence of campaigning over social media the UK started to pick up this trait much like discussing business endeavours its crass and boring...

And only divides people. Which is why people always say don't discuss religion or politics.

@Peppa they shouldn't focus on world domination but that's their goal nonetheless. Unfortunately.
@Peppa
I'm not suggesting they do but the problem is england want to dominate nearly as much as America although they're trying to do it a little quieter...
You do know the UK wrote the book on world domination through colonialism and their empire ? The U.S. only exists because of it. I’m sorry, but that’s funny coming from a Brit.

@bijouxbroussard I do know that. But it seems the UK are trying to fix things if only small. America has the man power to do better.
it's not supposed to be the sort of thing that someone can compel you to reveal, a few people take advantage of that, more don't mind if people know, and way too many insist that you know despite your protests against such knowledge.

People can say one thing but vote totally differently.

Who says they're telling the truth? It's not like anyone else can know for sure who you voted for. If they did, there's something BADLY wrong.
