I mean, what the actual ...?

TRUMP: "Would you like a nice low-income housing project next to your suburban beautiful ranch style house? Generally speaking, no," Trump said in Muskegon. "I saved your suburbs -- women -- suburban women, you're supposed to love Trump."

Blatant bigotry and pandering aside, how can anyone actually support a man so bereft of words, so scattered in thinking and so "whichever way the wind blows?" This person has access to nuclear codes, can determine you economic future, can protect your legal and constitutional rights. In all seriousness, how can you put your trust in a man like this?

His supporters are mostly the white supremacists. Those people have no financial future, they aren't very bright, certainly not bright enough to earn a decent living or even provide for their families. They have put all their hope and trust that Trump will change their miserable lives for the better. It hasn't happened yet, and for the hat wearing, nascar watching, knuckle white trash that makes up Trumps base, nothing will ever make them successful.

@independentone But they don't have to be successful. The only thing they need is to feel superior to someone else that they can blame for their problems. The reality of their lives does not matter.
@windinhishair Sad, but true

@independentone But here's the crazy thing. I know plenty of people, wealthy or middle class, some with parochial university degrees, animal lovers, generally good people who are upstanding citizens in their corner of the world, who feel the very same way. The knuckle-dragging dolts I understand. But how does someone with 2.4 kids, a Volvo and a house in a city suburb support this nonsense. Surely "But the economy" doesn't answer every single charge.

@Graylight unfortunately there has always been die hards. Never in their lives have they changed their party votes. And that attitude is very hard to convince to do otherwise.

I know this attitude very well coming from a totally Republican county growing up. And having in law's that supported Nixon even after he left office after being disgraced.

Example: the Nixon library is absolutely huge and was made through his supporters. 😔

The best way to convince them otherwise is to give them examples of those same Republican people that have changed their own minds. They "might" listen to them.

Yet never a "liberal" not even a "wishy washy" moderate.

That's how they think. 😔
