Boris asks for volunteers

so boris has asked for 250,000 volunteers to help supprt the NHS

as boris and his tory party front bench have said this is the worst thing to hit the uk and to save the NHS then the people we need volunteers.

OK, well, if you guys hadn't for a decade sucked the life out of the NHS with all the cutbacks and penny pinching the NHS wouldn't be in the state it's in at the moment.

Also if as you say its this bad why are you asking for volunteers, if you want people to be on the front line pay them!!! as you keep saying how importnat this is and how wonderful the NHS is so back it up with the money and to pay the people and stop doing things on the cheap.

so all in all do you think this is the right way to go using volunteers or how would you sort it out?
Everything Boris does is on the cheap. The man makes my blood boil. He wont even give straight answers to straight questions. Hes robbed the honest working people of a decent wage him & his party before him. Now hes asking people to help him out his mess. He wont even pay sick people the benefits they are owed.

@Cutiepi23 you"re complety right there on all your points, his parry over the last 10 years have ruined the country with having austerity, the bedroom tax, universal credit, making us be poorer but them getting richer and the national debt going up
@milkymum1 Yip for him money is most imporatant.
Intellegent people realise health comes first. We all need money but his greed & his cuts have ruined the Uk.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Cutiepi23 yes greed is pure evil and is all boris and co are interested in like the line help the NHS then save lives it shouid be save lives saves the NHS

@Johnblackthorn wasted how?

medical ewuipment needs to be made in a clean and sterolised enviroment because if they weren't anyone would eb making the equipment

well the county im in one coucil built an incinerator so all medical watse from all the hosputals can be nurned there

its all down to cost cutting and making things central, like theyve taken away half of the materity wards in my country so people have to travel at least 20 miles to one now

yes i do agree it needs a serious look at and far to much austerity has brought it to its knees but yet again you can"t run anything on peanuts and expect a rolls royce service
Johnblackthorn · 56-60, M
@milkymum1 clean rooms are sterilised environments, most small electronic equipment is made in one.
Crutches are no longer taken back, apparently it's cheaper to buy new thanbto clean the ones you have, in many hospitals wheel chairs costing £800 are not accepted as returns. Darent vally hospital spent £1.2 million on a glass roof and changes to the a&e reception, it's smaller than expected and the glass roof leaks because its a bad design, but the designers and engineers still get paid,It doesn't matter how you dress it up, it's a huge waste of money. we're paying rolls royce money and letting the staff down by allowing the few at the top to pocket huge underhand deals while their mates make a nice profit.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Johnblackthorn yes I know

As for Crurches my local authority don't supply them anymore if a patient is realsed and needs then they have to pay for them from a medical shop.

That's part the problem with any works done the people quote low get the job do a so so effort, get paid in full then spend ages tryign to put it right.

Also many Hospitals will only use the people tehy know so won't go to any compnany which seems crazy to me.

Well I know from some of the Hospitals near me they've been left to ruin so they've need to be refurbished , yet again a lack of investment by Government

Yes sadly its yet again the right people knwoing the right MP to get the best deal for them but not for the Hospital
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
That's socialized healthcare for ya; any other time, Europeans brag about it; but when they actually need it, it sucks big hairy donkey balls... 🤔
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@wildbill83 yes its amazing they trash the socialists but when push comes to shove they adopt sociolagist iseas to dig them out of the shit.
@milkymum1 yeah true socialists and decent human beings. Not greedy money grabbers
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Cutiepi23 just seems to be run by greedy money grabbers and still using ideas from WW2 as puttign the people in the line of fire to protect them

@RodneyTrotter Yes consecutive Governments have had plenty of oppertunities to sort out many problems but they just seem to blame the other party for the problems while they do nothing.

The hardest thing is we"ve now had 4 of the worst PM's in History and the future doesn't look any better so if anything its going to get worse.

I know it gets hard at times to keep typing out the list of fialed PMs

@RodneyTrotter Yes true on both counts but both May and Johnson lost votes overall

I'm alittle supprosed that the tory papers haven't gone down that road yet
SW-User
You think that they should recruit 250,000 new nurses and doctors overnight? 🤔

As for alleged past errors, should they go back in time or should they instead focus on what is needed right now? 🤔

What do you actually want him to do?
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@SW-User well hey are using JC socilest ideas now by putitng all of this money forward liek neevr before

also whats so wrong having JC as PM?
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Cutiepi23 JC had some very good ideas all tabboed by the tories but they've started being a sociliest tory party as boris is trying to buy his way out of the problems
@milkymum1 spot on
Glossy · F
He asked for 250,000... He got 500,000.

milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Glossy yes but thats nto what im asking
Glossy · F
@milkymum1 This isn't a discussion. It's just yet another excuse for you to tell us how much you hate Boris and the Tories. It doesn't matter what anyone else says, you'll never change your mind.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Glossy really, it ahs nothignt o do about that at all, what it has to do with is how badly thsi country is being run, lack of leadership and using such a stupid idea as hearding to ebat this virus.

also as your very quick to be defend boris but ahven't come up with any ideas what you would do.
Paliglass · 41-45, F
They do need to put more money in to staff. Probably not right now but they do.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Paliglass yes fully paid as a full time worker?

yes exactly not just serving tea or coffe these are essentual jobs need as the backbone of the NHS and as boris and his party have said this is serious but apparently not serious enough to pay people
Paliglass · 41-45, F
@milkymum1 they need to pay them. Fucking weatherspoon guy isn't paying his staff even the government money, he told em go work in a supermarket and now the fucking bastard government is tricking half a million people to work for free.

I'm pissed off now.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@Paliglass yes they do and IF its as bad as boris says then HE should stop doing it on the cheap and actually pay these people for saving him and his party from wrecking the NHS

yes weatherspoons apparently the virus doesnt spread in his bars ..... what a load of trash just cos hes a tory party donner he thinks hes different

yes same here so pissed off at how the government are using and allowing people to be used basically as slaves
Would you pay someone to do your dirty work if you could have someone else do it for free???
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@HootyTheNightOwl yes pay my kids to do teh chores i dont like doing, why should i expect someone to do somethign i dont like for free, that's called slavery
@milkymum1 They've been getting away with it since Universal Credit was rolled out... no one batted an eyelid then - why would they care now???
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@HootyTheNightOwl actually theies been plenty of unease and many MPs asking for it to be frozen and to go abck to the old way;

so why should they still be allwoed to get away with it by what you"re saying its ok cos they've doen it before
What will the volunteers be doing?
@BeefySenpie working in the key areas like health & social care, fire, shops etc.
milkymum1 · 31-35, F
@BeefySenpie as far as i know being drivers, phone help, social help, deliver shopping, take people to and from hosptial, drive medicans and suppleis to hospitals so basically the back bone of the NHS
