Question for Americans: what is a deep state lacky?
I've never heard of that before, I've just seen it in another post on here. You don't have to be American to answer this question but it helps.

Deep state can also be interpreted as the Bureaucracy, un elected behind the scenes bureaucrats making decisions on their own. The federal government is huge….and takes on a direction all its own. The elected representatives are just part timers, temporary inconveniences. They continue on in the direction and course they feel is right. A deep state lacky is one who yields to the bureaucracies interests that may be very different then the peoples.

@Moodswings I do remember that bombing, but other than Ariana Grande offering her personal proceeds going towards the victims, nothing more was said here in the states.

The definitions you've gotten actually aren't that bad, but in practice, I think you need to realize that Trump claims to be the US, and to represent the people in a unique or special way that doesn't really jive with what we thought the Constitution said since it was written.
Some Americans think that Trump supporters label public servants who are loyal to the Constitution, or the Office of the President as opposed to Trump personally, as "Deep state lackeys."
James Comey and Robert Muelller have been called "deep state lackeys" because they have said or done things that some people see as being disloyal to him, despite the fact that those same words and actions might be consistent with loyalty to the office, the Constitution or the Country.

@Moodswings If you aren't aware that every government doesn't have a bureaucracy that runs the government and controls the politicians you are too naive to give an informed comment on this topic. The entrenched bureaucracy is fact - not fiction.

@Moodswings Lackey: servant, flunkey, vassal, houseboy, drudge. Deep State: the name given to the entrenched bureaucracy aka the 'real government' who uses politicians as a front as they run the government for their own purposes and goals. Over the years you will notice that whenever the 'deep state' wants to go to war the MSM in particular CNN begins beating the war drum to stir the nation to go to battle. Trump upset the deep state by not going to war when they wanted him too. CNN did its best but Trump refused to take the bait. The deep state has been trying to destroy him since.
