@pagandad The Spanish American War was more than 120 years ago FFS! As for the two World Wars, it took you three years to come in and help your allies. Meanwhile, the Brits have been at your side in every conflict from the get go. Apart from Korea and Vietnam that is. How did those two wars turn out for the biggest military power on the planet.

My point may have been badly worded. I apologise for that. What I was trying to highlight is how badly the Americans have done on their own.

To me, the issue is quite clear. Regardless of phenomenally huge military strength and 2nd Amendment rights, their fighting track record leaves a lot to be desired.
