Too little too late for Paul Ryan.
Is Ryan trying to set himself up as the rebound guy? Does he think it makes him look better somehow- it makes him look even worse. He’s admitting how craven he actually is.
We all know why the GOP will eventually be speaking out against trump but it will in no way exonerate their previous silence and complicity. Their level of integrity is somewhere near the earth’s crust and their place in history is sealed. With that said, every voice raised against trump adds to the tumult. The louder, the better.
This was trump’s tweet this morning: “Paul Ryan, the failed V.P. candidate & former Speaker of the House, whose record of achievement was atrocious (except during my first two years as President), ultimately became a long running lame duck failure, leaving his Party in the lurch both as a fundraiser & leader,”
