Should we push for a maximum wage?

This was asked for during FDR's new deal and instead we got like a 95% top rate. The middle class saw a lot of growth as a result. If we did, how high should it be? 365 million? Who is really working hard enough to be worth a million a day?

It depends on a few things, like whether you have a hard cap of a set dollar value, or if it's a percentage cap over the minimum or average wage. In those cases, who decides what it should be capped at, and what do you do for the people who inevitably earn more than that?

One would also need to instate a wealth tax in order to mitigate the effect of stockpiling wealth and interest. I think there's some validity to the idea.

@UndeadPrivateer Eh, interest is taxed as income already.

@QuixoticSoul That's not true in all cases.

Don't see the need for a maximum wage. Just raise taxes in the top brackets. As long as every dollar you earn still makes you richer, there's incentive to make more.

Sounds like a happy meal will cost $ 150.00 the more mim wage goes up the more things cost.

I'm avoiding too much input myself as I'm not trying to convince anyone if it, just curious what current sentiment around it would be
