We all know Hillary didn't win. But who would you have chosen to become America's first woman President?

I'm serious here!
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
Condi Rice, But she's too smart to put herself through the nonsense it takes to be President.
Helganvisari25 · 51-55, M
Holy Jesus Christ! Now I'm really glad you got out of there.

@cattleboy I'm a Roma Gypsy. As such, my parents traveled all over the world. They were in Egypt when they got caught for drug possession, and to avoid being thrown in jail they paid a boatman to take them across the Red Sea. The Yemeni Civil War kicked up again just after they arrive. And two months later, I was born.

Well, for a little while my answer would have been Elizabeth Warren but she's starting to act a little funky these days. Ocasio-Cortez, with a little more experience, would make a great president. But she's only 28 years old right now.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SensibleJulie Funky as in...we can usually count on her to make the right decisions and vote the right way, but she seems to be having sporadic moments of breaking from her principles. Like when she voted along with the military spending spending increase. The majority of the time, Warren votes against those bills, as she should, but sometimes she seems to have a Machiavellian moment.

Meaning she's mostly trustworthy, but we gotta keep an eye on her.

@cattleboy She endorsed Sanders at the very very last possible moment, when it was decided he wasn't going to win the primary, but that's almost worse.

In 2016, I voted for Jill Stein of The Green Party, mostly as a protest vote. Currently, I don't see any candidate of either gender that I could support.

@cattleboy Sanders is needed in Congress badly. He might have made the right choice.
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@Byron8by7 I voted for Jill Stein.
patkaren1717 · 36-40, M
Wilma Flintstone.
Helganvisari25 · 51-55, M
Well at least she would be the prettiest President. Wilma Flintstone was one hot cartoon.

on the left i like tulsi gabbard. on the right i like nikki haley, though i'm afraid trump may have ruined her.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CopperCicada Gillibrand reminds me of Harris. She'll do the right thing if her job is in jeopardy, because she isn't stupid enough to vote against the will of her base and get voted out. But if it's not something where she's forced to vote with her constituents or else lose office, she'll sell out to corporate money.
@BlueMetalChick Ya. I am also not sure Harris or Gillibrand are that politically savvy. There needs to be a voice on the left that's not collapsed in partisan politics.

Quite honestly, I follow the Gabbard campaign from across the country. I have seen nothing that makes me distrust her. Her being summoned by Trump for a meeting and then walking away was obviously a sign he sees her as a star. She has a complicated district and active military participation. Legit.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CopperCicada Military participation reminds me of Tammy Duckworth. Just recently I was watching something about how she lost her legs. I didn't know it before but apparently they thought she was dead after that helicopter crash, and the soldiers just took her body with so they could identify and bury her. It wasn't until halfway through the ride back to their base that someone realized she was still bleeding all over the floor, which meant that her heart must still be pumping, and that's how they realized she was still alive.

I don't think we've met her yet.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
I know this is so unpopular but maybe cathy mcmorris rogers.
JarJarBoom · 41-45, F
@Byron8by7 As far as politics goes, she has the experience and seems to command leadership for the republican party. There are a lot of things I disagree with when it comes to her views but overall, I think she seems to command a lot of respect from all politicans.

@JarJarBoom

Thanks. I will look her up for more information.
Helganvisari25 · 51-55, M
I'm reading about her now. Thank you for bringing her to my attention.
