What's the worst possible reason to vote?

My wife has just voted in her first election here since getting her citizenship, and she based her vote on (get this!) the party with no chance of winning! You think you know someone... Anyway, this leads me to wonder what could be the worst reason someone can have to vote?
Of course, I'm also open to the possibility that there aren't any bad reasons to vote. As long as you vote, no matter the reason, even a racial one, you've done your civic duty.

I think you are missing the entire point of voting, the responsibility that comes with it (before, during, and after), and the implications of your vote. Citizenship revoked.

If the choice in 2020 were between Bernie Sanders or Lizzy Warren AND Donald Trump and there was no independent candidate that I liked, I'd leave the presidential ballot blank.

@beckyromero How do you feel about the Bernie fans who didn't vote for Hillary?

I don't hold anything against them personally.

Just that in the primary, I feel they shouldn't have had that choice. Some states actually DO have closed primaries that only let registered DEMOCRATS decide who wins their state's DEMOCRAT primary. Mine doesn't - and it ticks me off. It's like why even BE a registered Democrat if non-Democrats have just as much say as I?

Plus, in 2008, Hillary was the choice of a majority of registered Democrats during the primary season. Obama was the strong majority choice of independents who were allowed to vote in many Democrat primaries. So who wins the nomination? The person who was NOT the choice of registered Democrats.
