Scotland rejects May's EU withdrawal bill giving May a huge problem.
The Scottish branches of Labour, the Lib Dems and the Greens backed the SNP's call to reject the bill based on clause 11 that proposes ways of power-sharing after Brexit that could see the Scottish Parliament lose powers. The vote is not legally binding but if May pushes on with it instead of delivering a bill Scotland agrees to then it will technically be the first time Westminster has pushed through laws against the will of Scotland. This would give the SNP a huge boost to their hopes of a second independence referendum.
