If you enter the country illegally you are a criminal

Fluffy407 · 41-45, F
They might be seeking asylum. They might also not have the start up funds to leave a country with mass corruption through all the legal channels in both places. But I was born and raised in one country, so I don't speak from experience.

@katielass thank you for your well thought out and valuable response

@hippyjoe1955 I suppose I should stop picking on someone who clearly is in the beginning stages of their frontal lobe shrinking. A bit early for it, but I don't know your family history. Maybe dementia happens early for you and your kind. Have fun with your fist shaking and telling people to get off of your lawn.

@Fluffy407 Yours my dear has never developed. Makes one wonder how the skull retains its shape with such a void inside it.

That is the definition of a criminal. One who does something illegal.

Criminal? Technically but they’re usually called illegal immigrants.

not until you've been charged, tried and convicted

@Harley4Life you're innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
@SW-User you can still be a criminal and not be convicted yet. Think about it if someone breaks into your home they have committed a criminal act even if they have not been convicted. So they are a criminal
SW-User
@Harley4Life if a journalist called them a criminal before they were convicted, the paper could be sued for libel. That's why they're always so careful to qualify it with "alleged" and "suspected" and the like. It's the legal system's job to decide whether someone is a criminal.

If you overstay your visa, you're guilty of a misdemeanor crime not unlike jaywalking or trespassing. Get over it.

It is obvious. The fact that some people will deny it proves how senseless these times are.
Sort of the definition of a "criminal" is engaging in "illegal" activity, right?
SW-User
That's what illegally means.

Yes, by definition.
