Rand Paul wants to repeal federal gun-free school zones

...

Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., introduced legislation on Thursday that would repeal a 1990 law banning guns from school zones, a move that fits with his push to arm teachers and other school personnel so they can prevent school shootings like the one that took place in Florida last month.

Paul's bill would repeal the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 and all amendments to that law.
I hope it passes. Gun free zones are open invitations for armed criminals who know there won't be anyone to stop them.

@katielass Take out the home shootings, which make up 63% of the shootings on EveryTown’s list, and the gun-free zone shootings, which are 10%, and that still leaves 27% which are neither in a home nor a gun-free zone. Just shy of 3 times as many as in gun-free zones.

@TheProphet and people are too blind to realize

@OggggO The trumpettes are not good with numbers, or reason, or logic. All they see is there great orange overlord.

Hey, prophet, katielass, jackjackson and the rest of you, guess who's coming for your guns...........

This is based on logic. Gun free zones are fictional safe spaces leftists worship because it makes them feel good. Reality often gets in the way because the person who is going to perpetuate murdering people looks for these zones. Reason being, he knows nobody will hit back or be an impediment to him within these zones. Logic is something liberals hate with a passion.

Liberals were taught never to hit back, a sad mental condition most of them have. They just will never get it. They fear only fictional evil, real evil is much too hard for them to confront.

Great idea! Hey, here's a fun fact: there was an off-duty police officer in the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando who was armed and exchanged gunfire with the man. You know, a four-walled, small building; hardly a maze. It made not one bit of difference.

And Trump's shining example of gun-everywhere zones as successful measure against violence, Texas, has suffered the same mass shootings as other places. Maybe it's that we need more guns for the gun for the guns.

I figured it out. You’re actually Mrs Clinton. I knew you had tons of time on your hands and you landed here. The good news is that the audience is so limited that you will do minimal harm 😜 @Graylight

@jackjjackson What emails?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
AHAH so it IS you. You should come out of the closet and ypuse your real name Mrs Clinton. @Graylight
Bean17 · 46-50, F
Yeah I’m not really sure why we need to repeal that federal “law” considering there was an armed deputy at the school in Florida and many schools in many states already have armed marshals.🤔
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Bean17 the law created school shooting targets for the left. Just takes that away. Liberals will shift to something else to try to repeal the second amendment
Invisible · 26-30, M
@Bean17 It prevents teachers and staff from carrying a concealed weapon, not police/security
Bean17 · 46-50, F
But the armed marshals are teachers and staff, not police/security. Why are they already allowed to have those if they are breaking a federal law?@Invisible
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@lorne13 Or the class bully takes the gun away from the teacher and shoots him/her.
hlpflwthat · M
Yeah ... what could possibly go wrong for a school employee with a permit to carry?
Quit being retarded, please.
Real nice go-to. Probably should have expected it. Sorry for interrupting your circle-jerk ... carry on.
Invisible · 26-30, M
@hlpflwthat If you had an argument to make you would make it, but instead you're upset that I called you retarded for precisely that
reason 😂
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Liberals do not think they act out of emotion.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Great plan! The concept makes as much sense as “sanctuary cities”.
Gun nuts go wild.

Let's see if someone who's less libertarian bucks Paul and the entire states rights thing and tries to mandate armed teachers and no state gun free zones by federal law next.

After all, the Second Amendment Trump's all and we gotta have more guns everywhere and not just in red States.
lorne13 · 61-69, M
I cant wait for the first tine a teacher loses it and shoots up tbeir classroom
room101 · 51-55, M
@lorne13 already happened

lorne13 · 61-69, M
@room101 so now the NRA and the trump gun fans will be saying it's time to arm the kids right?
room101 · 51-55, M
@lorne13 Of course. It's the only "logical" thing to do.
