Should we solve illegal immigration

By confiscating all assets of any company that employs one and auctioning them off to pay down the national debt? Won’t even need a wall. Same goes for anyone that does not notify ICE when they know of an illegal. The illegals assets also confiscated. They would all be gone in a year. We could bring in legal immigrants to work on the books.

Very true. If shady businesses didn't take advantage of them for cheap labor they would not stay. I think this really is the best solution: punish the people who hire them.

It's already illegal to hire an illegal alien (1986) but that law has never been enforced, not really. [u]We should up the fines and make prison time mandatory for anyone hiring an illegal alien. That should put it to a screeching halt and no wall necessary. If a industry, like farming, can produce evidence that no Americans will do a job they can be allowed to hire legal residents to do the job and not have to worry about being arrested.

If that law was enforced (it's on the books) then illegals would have to return. But the businesses have their hand of the pockets of politicians to keep them here. Same goes with expired visas, if they are on your payroll then heavy fines should be levied.

Exactly, it’s easy to solve our problems, just not if we have to keep the politicians pockets filled with donations from those that profit from them.@SageWanderer
