How is CNN a problem with the AT&T Time Warner antitrust case?

Why is the news ABOUT CNN? Aren’t REAL news organizations supposed to REPORT news?

The issue is complicated and can be argues any one of half a dozen ways given what little information the typical citizen has.

What in God's name does have to do with your contention that CNN is fake news? By the way, that little line of rhetoric is getting pathetically old.

@jackjjackson from you article citation:

"CNN Digital will bring in more than $370 million for 2017 — its highest revenue in history,” a CNN spokesperson said. “The company remains the #1 digital news source in the nation, handily beating all its competitors, including BuzzFeed, in users, video and even millennial reach. There are more than 660 people working for CNN Digital and there are no plans for freezes, cutbacks or layoffs of any kind. In fact, we are continuing to invest."

CNN is among many news outlets attempting to navigate an increasingly difficult and competitive digital media environment. Publishers, including BuzzFeed, are exploring new ways to diversify their revenue streams and keep up as Facebook and Google continue to gobble up more and more ad dollars. Ad firms and media outlets also have to deal with large consumer-goods companies cutting back on advertising spending recently.

Part of the difficulty for CNN Digital has been the tough market for digital ads coupled with the hyper-charged political environment, which has pushed some brands to eschew news content.

Ratings are on top, revenue is on top. Budget allocation and expenditure are what are poised to change. That speaks in no way to the authenticity or popularity of the organization.

Please try to keep up.

So you cherry picked a few lines and skipped the main point. When CNN introduces its for pay tier are YOU going to pay for it? If not CNN is in its way out. Only if those in your demographic are willing to pay for what is now free dies CNN have a hope for survival. @Graylight

@jackjjackson Jesus God, I don't work for CNN. I didn't even watch it well before the elections. I simply saying your particular brand of slant is wearing mighty thin.

As for cherry-picking, what I offered you was clarification for the actual reasons behind the money talk at CNN. It's got nothing to do with ratings. Deflect that.

Western media is ridiculously corrupt..it’s an open secret. Anyone who doesn’t acknowledge this is a dummy

There are several "broadcasting" assets as part of the deal. Why make it about CNN only? Could it be because the President and Bannon have a beef with CNN?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
As long as nothing screws up Charles Barkely’s TNT gig I’m a happy camper. @Northwest

@jackjjackson and that would be accurate, as in the deal is getting held up, because the Justice Department wants AT&T to ditch Turner Broadcasting, which technically is more than CNN.

I am pointing out the obvious, which is that Duffy Duck is not a threat to the first amendment.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Of course. @Northwest
I saw something on my "slanted left" feed about Murdoch trying to acquire CNN as part of this, but haven't had a chance to try and get other spins on it.

@MistyCee The CEO of AT&T, is reported to have said that Murdoch contacted him about acquiring TN. That would be OK with Trump.

That’s an interesting wrinkle. I would make them as a buyer indemnify me against pre sale sexual harassment claims 😉 @MistyCee @Northwest
